While he was Speaker of the House in the 1990's Newt Gingrich and several other Republicans used a "Contract with America" in an attempt to undermine the Clinton administration

These days, non-officer holder Newt Gingrich runs his 527 organization American Solutions, which claims to help Americans, but actually serves the interests of lobbyists.

Now, it sounds like the unelected Republican wants to bring back his "Contract with America" to undermine Obama, much like Adolf Hitler tried to (successfully) to undermine the German government during a time of economic strife.

Although he holds no position in government, Newt Gingrich said on Sean Hannity's
Fox News talk show that a new contract with America would be a "very good idea for
September of 2010."

He also made the claim that Arlen Spector's defection to the Democrats now means
that the "Republican Party is going to be the Party of lower taxes, less spending,
smaller bureaucracy, less power in Washington."

Newts contract didn't work....look what happened.....and he wants to do it again? Come on Newt how about a new Constitution instead....that includes Native Americans and Black Americans....and restrictions to firearms.

djermano: While I agree with you that Newt's contract didn't work, why would you want to see Black's and Native American's rights to bear arms restricted? I don't get your reasoning . . . .

I mean have a Constitution that bears the signatures to these two iconic cultures and races.

and

I think that the true Constitution of America would not be dependant on the right to bear arms. America the gun society has been going down hill for a very long time because of it.

Two different issues.
