The union agriculture minister and the president of International Cricket Council (ICC) Mr. Sharad Pawar was slapped by a youth named Harvinder Singh near the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) in Delhi today. The incident happened when the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief was coming out of NDMC.

Upon preliminary questioning it appears that Harvinder Singh was agonized with the union minister’s inability to control the rising inflation and check the growing prices of essential commodities.

In the past, this same youth had also attacked the former union telecom minister Sukh Ram on November 19th. As of now, he has been taken away for interrogation by the security officials. Further information is awaited from the Delhi Police.
