University at Buffalo Gunman not Found in Lockwood Library

University at Buffalo's Lockwood Library was evacuated earlier on Tuesday after reports of a gunman. University authorities searched Lockwood Library on University at Buffalo's North Campus in Amherst, but did not find the reported gunman.

Lockwood Library was locked down after 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday after a surveillance camera image showing a person with a gun in the building. Evacuation started around 4:30 p.m.

While the UB North Campus was not locked down, evening classes were canceled.

The authorities completed the search at 7:45 p.m.

Classes at University at Buffalo will resume as normal on Wednesday morning.
