Update Nine-year-old boy dead stabbed in Bradford

Update 2: The arrested man is reported to be the dead boy Jackson Taylor's elder brother and is said to gave a history of mental illness.

Update 1: Police now confirm that the boy's 18-year-old sister was also stabbed and is hospitalised though stable. Police can not yet confirm the weapon used as knife or some other implement.

A post-mortem on the boy has shown that he died from multiple stab wounds.

A nine-year-old boy has been stabbed and killed in the Wibsey area of Bradford, Yorkshire.

Police have arrested a 20-year old man on suspicion of murder.

The dead boy is reported but not confirmed as being called 'Jackson'.

A cordon currently surrounds an end semi-detached house adjacent to Rookes Avenue, in Richardson Avenue, Bradford, where two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) stand guard.

Inquiries are continuing.

A police spokesperson said the boy, who has not yet been named, was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary, where he died from his injuries.

The spokesman said a man in his 20s had been arrested on suspicion of murder. Police said inquiries into the death were continuing.

Locals said they believed the deceased was called Jackson, who had lived with his parents, a sister and a brother.

One neighbour said: "He was a fantastic lad and they are a close family. I heard his sister was stabbed as well."

Police were called at 7.46pm yesterday to a house in Bradford, West Yorkshire, after a nine-year-old boy was knifed to death.

Community groups need to work harder to stop crazy things like this from happening.

bradford is the worst place to live now - it is awful - yes its multi cultural - and that is the reason these things happen. too many other cultures from other countries. -kids cant walk the streets anymore with out being robbed ,assulted, bullied by gangs of feral kids. white kids have realised that they have to go around in gangs to stop other gangs of kids doing anything wrong to them - asians go round in gangs for same reason -there is no mixing of cultures - they are side by side with constant tensions. drugs and the gangs who deal the drugs are the people who run bradford.- it is lawless now. i bet that poor lad has killed his brother due to mental health caused by the drugs he took. suplied by the dealers who work on our street confident of not being arrested -same old story. smoking drugs really alters our childrens brains and its killing off generations of our children in bradford. poor baby jackson and his sister -i bet the lad who did it is mortified that he has done this and is totally in shock. i know what im talking about - its all to do with the drugs that are all over bradford poisining our kids and the awful lives these children live through. how sad.
