President Obama has lifted a funding band imposed on organizations providing abortion services abroad that was implemented during the Bush regime.
President Obama reaffirmed a woman's 'right to choose' on the 36th anniversary of the US Supreme Court's landmark Roe vs Wade decision that gave women the constitutional right to abortion.
In a written statement issued Thursday, Obama said that he "remained committed to protect a woman's right to choose".

mtammas, thank you for this story. Even though I am pro-life, I do support a woman's right to choose.

I'll echo Rhonda's sentiments. The decision should be a difficult one, well thought out, but in the end a decision belonging to the woman.
