ORIGINAL POST

It is amazing how these folks work.

Sarah Palin’s foreign policy “experience” just went down a notch.

Palin has also visited one fewer country than originally stated by her Alaska office. Earlier in the week, the governor’s Alaska spokeswoman was quoted as saying Palin had traveled to Iraq, Kuwait, Germany, and Ireland, in addition to Canada. McCain campaign spokeswoman Maria Comella acknowledged yesterday that Ireland was only a refueling stop on a trip in July 2007 to visit Alaskan National Guard troops in Kuwait and Iraq.

Comella said yesterday that the 2007 trip was her only foreign travel apart from visits to Canada.

Boston Globe Website

The McCain-Bush/Palin-Stevens campaign must be having fits keeping pace with attacks to come up with to cover those lies.

Sarah spews out another lie.  Pretty soon, someone notices it.  When something is said about it, that person is attacked.  So far, McCain-Bush/Palin-Stevens has played the preggers card, the gender card and the lipstick card (that’s not including all its mock outrage).

The gospel of the McCain-Bush/Palin-Stevens ticket-

Somehow, we, the voting public, are to take everything that pours out of her mouth as gospel.  If we have a problem with it, we should keep quiet.

I guess you could say it’s the Emperor New Clothes card.

By the way, have you EVER seen the GOP and its lackeys so concerned about political correctness, women’s rights and respecting a female candidate?

Factcheck.org says the McCain-Palin campaign distorted their findings and were disingenuous in two of their latest ads aimed at the Obama-Biden campaign, one claiming legislation aimed at protecting children from sexual predators was instead authorizing kindergarteners to be taught sex education.

The other ad misstates the conclusions of Factcheck.org regarding false statements concerning Governor Palin, with the organization stating there has been no connection found to the Obama-Biden campaign, stating that, " .... We have yet to dispute any claim from the Obama Campaign about Palin."

More mud-rolling and slinging slanders. Fastcheck is very slanted, IMO.

Do you homework on factcheck before you accuse them of slander. Slander is when a comment or opinion is made that is not true. That is the opposite of what factcheck.org provides. It does not provide opinions at all. It merely presents the facts compared to comments, claims, and ads made by all candidates. It keeps everyone honest.

Do the math. McCain has lied and twisted the facts far more than Obama. That is the fault of McCain, not factcheck.org.

When a presidential campaign, specifically the McCain-Palin campaign, makes false statements, with one portrayal meant to appear as if their claims against Senator Obama's campaign have been supported by an independent source, with the independent source's web address prominently featured in the bogus ad, with the other ad being a repugnant and despicable inference that Senator Obama would orchestrate legislation to teach kindergarteners sex education when, in reality, the legislation was meant to protect children from sexual predators, lies such as those must be exposed as lies.

Look, Karen, we're very used to dirty political ads in Louisiana, but to spew this all over NP is just as bad. You do have a remote, don't you?

Just because someone made these ads up that you refer to, and puts an "I approve this message" on the end of it, doesn't make it so. Don't you get it?

And the story above does not say that Sarah actually claimed to have visited Ireland, just a 'misguided' spokeswoman from Alaska Governor's office. and who knows whose side that spokeswoman is actually on, do you?

Campaign ads, during election campaigns, bombard viewers on all cable and network stations non stop until election day, with only a few exceptions.

When ads appear on a candidate's website, the candidate should be aware of what is there, being presented in his or her name. These ads can be accessed around the clock, at any time.

Most candidates in political campaigns, who know their name will be attached to items that will be seen and scrutinized by millions, usually concern themselves with the contents of ads that end, in this case, with the words, "I'm John McCain and I approve this message."

Well, I got a remote, if you don't. and we're more concerned with Ike right now than mud-slinging. If an ad is going to talk about real issues, I might not click the remote.

Well, heck, nobody's public affairs spokesperson in the entire history of the entire world has ever mis-spoken. Right? Trust me, having dealt with spokespersons, and having been one myself, mistakes are made. I wouldn't lay this one at Palin's door personally.

But the Palin-haters, the sexists, the leftists will. Gawd, I hope that her spokesperson(s) don't get arrested for speeding, get pregnant, or have overdue library books. Because it will be Palin's fault!          ;}

Let's talk about mistakes, shall we? Oh, let's skip the spokespersons. Let's go to source: Barack Obama. Who spoke about having visited all 57 states of the U.S.

There aren't 57 states. But there are 57 Islamic states, in their own confederation.

According to leftists, when Obama "mis-speaks," it's because he's tired or some such, or misundersood (gee, Officer Krupke!). But if anyone on the other side mis-speaks, it's a deliberate lie. Hmmm. That belif doesn't seem to balance somehow in terms of fairness or judgment. Oh, well.

Hey! Now I know why the DNC dumped thousands of small American flags into the trash--they didn't have Obama's 57 states! Thanks, World Groove.     ;}

What a crowd. Each one sucking off each others hot air. Don't you all have something better to do with your lives then try to destroy other peoples lives because of all the hatred you spew and get away with it because this is the net. Talk about character assassination  in the form of "opinion"

I'm so bored of reading pieces like this. It's just mindless gossip and it's getting old now.

Voting 90% of the time with Bush, until this year when he voted 95% of the time. That is a number that is verified by numerous fact check sites and by McCain's voting record. He promised to give America back to the citizens in 1999 when I voted for him against Bush. He has had 23+ years to bring change in office. He hasn't. In fact, he has moved more towards Bush than he did before, even when it was obvious by polls that Bush and the government was very unpopular. McCain was willing to sell out to get nominated.

It's not rocket science. If it quacks like a Bush, and it looks like a Bush, and it votes like a Bush,  it must be a ?

Palin agrees with Bush more than McCain does. On issues of ideology, abortion,  gun control, and the environment, they are identical. She is the female version of Bush but with the guns and pitbull personality of Cheney.

McSame and McCheney. That isn't very amusing to many Americans. IMO.

Unfortunately, voting records are far more complex than rocket science.  Bills are allowed to be packed with so many non related items that you can not really tell why someone voted for or against them.

Both Parties use voting records as a supposed barometer, yet it is about as accurate an indicator of air pressure as counting the number of times a rooster flaps his wings after crowing.
