US 190 Accident: Port Barre High School, Port Barre Elementary School Children Sent To Hospital After Truck Hits School Bus

A tractor trailer plowed into a school bus on US 190 hitting a school bus, sending 21 children from the Port Barre, LA area to hospital, some with critical injuries.

The bus was stopped to pick up children when the tractor trailer slammed into the back of it.

The bus driver tried to pull off the road to avoid a full-on collision.

All 21 kids on the bus were taken to area hospitals.

At last report, three of them were listed in critical condition.

The children on the bus were students from both Port Barre Elementary and Port Barre High.
