So bobdobalina....Should we toss out the 1st amendment, as irritating and low brow as it may be, so as not to cause violent reactions from folks with thin skins?...BTW...I blame the people who killed the Ambassador, not the president....but his reaction sort of reeks of appeasement...like he was saying: 'so sorry we hurt your feelings...of course you want to kill our people...but that's really not right....'... doesn't quite address the outrage a few of us, hillbillies or sophisticats, feel.

Our Ambassador as well as the other three men killed deserved to be protected and to be able to trust that our nation would protect them. Let’s look at this situation pragmatically please. In my own analysis, I will draw an inference based upon assumptions of our bureaucratic government system. The security decisions made for all consulates worldwide I assume were made many years ago by an assistant staffer to someone three rungs below Secretary Clinton. I believe that Clinton had no idea nor had any knowledge that there were security problems with consulates in dangerous countries. Im sure that some office bureaucrat not knowing any better followed a policy, and never considered security risks for a consulate in Bengazi. Libya, a nation with a very turbulent, weak government with the remnants of a strong pro-Gadhafi militant group (did you think that they just went away?) should have been a big red flag. The consulate needed a much more robust State Department security detail to include elements of the Marine detachment from Tripoli. How could this security situation been allowed to occur? It is unconscionable! It is inexcusable! So who should be held responsible for this? To answer this, we need to go back Mogadishu, 1993 (Blackhawk down). An event mostly forgotten, that situation is very similar to what just happened in Bengazi. In the final analysis, Sec Def Les Aspin was found at fault for declining to station a small armored unit in Mogadishu. Had US armor (M2 Bradleys and M1A2 tanks) been on station, it is highly likely the outcome of Blackhawk down would have ended much more favorably to the US. Les Aspin resigned over the issue. Secretary Clinton, should resign for the same reasons. Although she was likely unaware of the security issues in Bengazi or any other consulate, the Secretary is ultimately responsible. A congressional investigation into the State Department's mismanagement and of faulty security policies of consulates must be initiated. Each of those involved in consulate security policy decisions within the Department should be fired or forced to resign. If the Secretary does not tenure her resignation, the President should "let her go" much like he did with LTG McChrystal. Or maybe Clinton resigns like Aspin did, for personal reasons.

There are plenty of offensive low budget internet films that have been widely available for years on youtube.  Search for "moohamhead" and you'll find a cartoon that is much more vile then the sophomoric video that supposedly caused the violence.  The Libyan president has now said it was clearly a pre-planned act of terrorism since mortars and rpg's were used.  I'm an independent and although I'm not happy about the way the Obama administration has handled middle east policy I'm scared to death what neo-con Romney's lawyers would tell him to do.Election 2012 - choose your destructor.
