Is it justified to do politics or crating pressure by using food aod as weapon. This is second such instace of using food aid weapon in a week.North korea refused to take food aid, reasons are many, and now US refused to continue its food aid to Madagaskar saying the change in guard is not according to there wishes.

Just for the sake of political ambition, the life of thousands of people in Madagsker will depend on US food mercy. The world leaders from across the worls were discussing the impending food crisis this time last year, and after the collapse of world fianacial market it seems there is no taker for the issue  food crisis.

What ever the socio political condition in ynis island but the use of food weapon cannot be justified, just for trhe sake of ideology. The coup cannot be justified and there must be some pressure to bring back the democracy, but not at the cost of thousands of hungry soul.

The US has halted all non-humanitarian aid to Madagascar after the army forced out the elected president and installed the opposition leader in his place.

Washington said it had to act, saying Tuesday's takeover was a "coup".

The EU also condemned the power grab, while the African Union suspended Madagascar's membership in the group.

Opposition leader Andry Rajoelina is due to be inaugurated as Madagascar's transitional head on Saturday after the ousting of President Marc Ravalomanana.

"This series of events is tantamount to a coup d'etat, and the United States will not maintain our current assistance partnership with Madagascar," US State Department spokesman Robert Wood said on Friday.

"In view of these developments, the United States is moving to suspend all non-humanitarian assistance to Madagascar."

It's not right to stop aid, just because of what the government is doing.
