American-Iranian journalist Roxana Saberi has now been freed.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — A lawyer for a U.S. journalist jailed in Iran says she has been freed from prison after an appeals court suspended her eight-year jail sentence.

Abdolsamad Khorramshahi says Roxana Saberi is "now out of jail."

An Iranian appeals court has reduced the eight-year jail sentence to a suspended two-year term, her lawyers said. Ms Saberi was given the lengthy sentence during a secret hearing last month that led to a diplomatic incident between Washington and Tehran.

Well that would be a slap in the face to all those that insulted Iran and called it names as Its President said that the legal system will do its job and that he has no jurisdiction over it.

This is good news.

This is good news.  I wonder if she can leave Iran with the two year suspended sentence.

They need to get her out of country, regardless of boyfriend.

Great story.

It is excellent news but it is not a substitute for Iran ceasing to make nuclear weapons.

Are they?

Great news, apparently achieved without 'Get out of town by sundown or we'll (fill in the blank)!' cowboy-style diplomacy.

Why does everything have to become politicized.  They ordered a review and reduced her sentence.  We should all be pleased with the results.  Hopefully she is going to be permitted to leave Iran.  That part of the story is still untold.

So justice has been undone, she should not have been arrested and jailed first time round. The fact that they have had to let her go say,s it all. I often think stories like this are a distraction from what really is going on in such countries.
