According to a CNN poll, Illinois Governor Blagojevich was the naughtiest politician in 2008.

Fifty-six percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Wednesday said Blagojevich, who has been arrested on corruption charges, was the naughtiest politician in 2008.

Blagojevich, accused of attempting to sell President-elect Barack Obama's former Senate seat, has said he has done nothing wrong and plans to fight the allegations.

Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer came second, at 23 percent, followed by former presidential candidate John Edwards.
Spitzer resigned in March after it was revealed he was Client No. 9 in a high-end prostitution ring.  Edwards, who had been considered a major contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, admitted in August to having an extramarital affair with former campaign staffer Rielle Hunter.
"Americans typically take a much dimmer view of corruption than of sex scandals, since the former is a violation of the public trust and the latter is usually considered more of a private matter," says CNN polling director Keating Holland.

What do you think?  Personally, I would have chosen Sarah Palin for naughtiest of them all.  While what she did was not a crime, the pot she's stirred is not quite finished burning yet.

A first place tie.

1.  All republicans who tried to link Barack Obama to terrorists.

A. All democrats who lied in saying John McCain favored a 100 year war in Iraq.

Not much of a race really.  Blago was a "man" among "boys" in the naughty department.  He "blew" two adulterers out of the water.

The problem is it doesn't matter who committs crime in government now when we allow the Bush Template to carry forward the agenda. Just what is impeachable if Bush can get away with his crimes? How it stands now the Constitution is worthless paper. There is no law in the US.

The courts will now decide. So be it. That is the rule of law. He got caught and he will pay for the crime. Works just right. Not perfect but functions pretty well.

Tiken you mean the Courts that are as corrupt as Bush? That's a laugh!

djermano,

If you think that the entire political system in the US of A is corrupt then truly that ends the conversation.  It certainly is a point of view.
