HELP Passes Health Care Reform

President Obama has made Health Care reform a priority on his agenda.

The U.S. Senate Health Care Committee approved legislation this morning that would expand insurance coverage to nearly all Americans.  The vote, which was along party lines, 13 Democrats and 10 Republicans, passed to be the first congressional panel to act on Obama's priority.

The bill, estimated to cost $600 Billion, would require all individuals to get health insurance, with employers also contributing.

Republicans opposed the bill, according to them, because the bill is being rushed and came to the committee half drafted.

Some estimates see the bill adding an additional $1.6 Trillion to the deficit.

President Obama is expected to make a speech in the Rosegarden shortly, in which he is expected to endorse this bill.

Pundits feel that this bill is being rushed in order to get it passed before the congressional recess in August.   Obama's popularity has been slipping lately in the polls.  The window of opportunity to pass this bill is now.

WASHINGTON - The Senate health committee cast a milestone vote Wednesday to approve legislation expanding insurance coverage to nearly all Americans, becoming the first congressional panel to act on President Barack Obama's top domestic priority.

The 13-10 party line vote advanced a $600 billion measure that would require individuals to get health insurance and employers to contribute to the cost. Democratic leaders are driving for floor votes in the House and Senate before Congress goes on its August break.

Pajama TV (PJTV) did a undercover investigation of the Canadian Health Care System.  This author hasn.t experience the kind of problems shown here.  I attach the link for comment by other Canadians.  Steven Crowder investigates why Canadian Health Care Sucks.

Just who do you think you people are? You work for "we the people". God forbid, if we are going to be stuck with a government run public healthcare plan than you should also be required to receive it. You should be the role models and be the first ones to participate.
