US, UK and the West should take full responsibility to Carnage

The north Tamils' region is overwhelmed by bloodshed, starvation, denial of medical care, torture & rape in the detention camps, continuous shelling and bombing, and nightmarish war on Tamils by the Sri Lankan government despite the calls for a ceasefire from the International Community and the rebel force, LTTE.

The East post-war Tamils regions is plagued by pro-government Karuna group's and Sri Lankan Army's rape, torture, kidnapping and killings.

The Colombo, Puttalam and Mannar Tamils are inundated with fear of when the infamous white van of the Sri Lankan Goverment will come for them. The military victory Sri Lankan Army in the North has also ignited Sinhalese Chuvanism resulting in attacks of temples, churches, and mosques, palralyzing Tamils.

The western countries should be solely blamed for the current carnage of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

Tamils have not been able to live in Sri Lanka with rights and freedom since 1948. This is the root problem of the conflict in Sri Lanka.

There are numerous times, the successive Sri Lankan governments has deployed state sponsored terrorism on Tamils. Few are listed below, but one can read the continuous history of state sponsored terrorism on Tamils in the Under reported underdogs article.

1956 The “Sinhala Only” Act was passed in the Sri Lankan Parliament. This Act made Tamils as second class citizens in the island. Tamils staged peaceful protests in Colombo and Gal Oya. 150 Tamils were burnt or hacked to death; 20 Women were raped; 3000 were made refugees and their properties were looted by Sinhala mobs. (Violation of UDHR article - 2, 3, 5, 12, 17 )

1958 Anti Tamil riots in Sinhala areas. Massacre of Tamils, looting of their properties, setting fire to their houses. 25,000 Tamils were made refugees; 500 Tamils were burnt or hacked to death; 200 Women were raped and Tamil properties were looted or destroyed by Sinhala mobs. (Violation of UDHR articles – 2, 3, 5, 12, 17)

In 1977, after almost 30 years of state sponsored oppression and terrorism, Tamils political leaders decided that enough is enough, and Tamils can only live freely in their own state as Tamils had before 1833. The vaddukottai resolution was drafted and the notion of Tamil Eelam was born. Tamils voted overwhelmingly in 1977 to Establish a Separate Tamil State.

The Sri Lankan government immediately drafted the PTA in 1979, the prevention of terrorism act, to freely arrest, detain, torture, rape and kill Tamils, if they seem even remotely attracted to the idea of freedom and rights for Tamils in Sri Lanka.

1979 July, Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) was introduced in Sri Lanka. This Act gives a free hand to the Security forces to arrest, detain, torture, rape, kill and dispose bodies with impunity. Arrested people could be detained for three months without being produced in courts. (Violations of UDHR articles - 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12)

In 1981, the Sri Lankan government sponsored its army to destroy the finest library of Tamils in Jaffna; the library was the south asia's biggest library at the time and the Sinhalese chuvanism found it applling to leave the Tamils' richest history remained in these invaluable 95000 volumes manuscripts.

1981 The Jaffna Public Library containing 95,000 volumes was completely destroyed in a fire set by a group of Police officers who went on a rampage in the Jaffna city on May 31, 1981. 95, 000 volumes of unrecoverable invaluable books were burnt. (Violations of UDHR articles - 2, 21, 24, 27)

Due to the atrocities of arrests, torture, rape and killings of many university students, political leaders and many other innocent Tamils were carried out under the name of "prevention of terrorism", many Tamil youth found it imperative to join the rebel force - LTTE, just starting to form after the 1977 Tamil Eelam political resolution.

Then happened the 1983 Black July.

1983 The Government masterminded anti-Tamil riots in July 83. More than 6,000 Tamils were killed by the Sinhalese in the South. Tamil houses and businesses were looted and destroyed. Tamils living in the South were sent in ships to the North and East by the government. 250,000 Tamils were made refugees; 2,500 Tamils were burnt or hacked to death; 500 Women were raped; 53 Tamil political prisoners were brutally murdered in the maximum security Welikada prison on 25-27th July. Sinhala extremist groups and thugs, ruined the socioeconomic and the political rights of the Tamil people. Anti-Tamil riots also in 1956, 1958, 1977, and 1981. (Violation of UDHR articles - 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 17, 23, 24, 25, 26)

LTTE got even stronger after 1983 Black July of Sri Lankan state sponsored terrorism.

LTTE is an evolved rebel force to keep the Sri Lankan Army atrocities at bay for Tamils. However, the evolution of the rebel force into a disciplined army traceable in LTTE while the Sri Lankan government forces have been continuously lowering themselves to new lows.

The main allegations the Sri Lankan government blames on LTTE are (1) suicide bombing and (2) child soldiers. However, most of the times these allegations are falsely defined and created. There are times the Sri Lankan government has designed deep penetration units of Sri Lankan Army where the one or two Sri Lankan Army will move into Tamils civilians areas in disguise and carry out claymore attacks on Tamils civilians. These attacks were almost impossible to track and fight back by the LTTE. Consequently, LTTE have carried out suicide attacks on Sinhalese areas to stop the claymore attack of the penetrated Sri Lankan Army. Due to the counter attack, the Sri Lankan government did reduce the claymore attack on Tamils civilians. It is not a justifiable reaction, however, it is definitely a desperate reaction from the LTTE to save the Tamils civilians.

A rebel force can only be defined in the context of the state terrorism they are fighting. It is not a matter of justice or injustice, but it is a matter of pure survival, pure life and death situation to Tamils in Sri Lanka where these Tamils have started supporting, sponsoring and encouraging the existance of LTTE. Why the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam is not a Terrorist Organisation

Many western countries have banned LTTE as terrorists, after 9/11, using a bush motto of fighting terrorism. However, the west has immensely failed to consider the survival of minorities who have managed to escape a state sponsored carnage by supporting a rebel force within their community.

LTTE also failed to deliver many aspects to Tamils. However, LTTE successfully delivered the much needed military force to Tamils to save them from the vicious Sri Lankan Army. The LTTE ensured the 1983 Black July was not repeated to Tamils in Sri Lanka. LTTE ensured Tamils can travel and live in Colombo as the Sri Lankan Army feared any attack on Tamils anywhere in Sri Lanka will be answered with a counter attack from LTTE.

The ban on LTTE from the west weakened the finance and weapon supply to LTTE. The west also did not step in to take over the void created by weakening LTTE in Sri Lanka. Hence creating a perfect recipe for the Sri Lankan government to carnage Tamils in Sri Lanka under the name of "rooting out terrorism."

The west, especially US is not ready to accept their mistake of declaring LTTE as "terrorists" and hence paving the path for genocide in Sri Lanka; the west stills hangs on to its ego to maintain LTTE as terrorists by telling the world that they have used Tamils as human shields in the "safety zones"; the interesting fact is that the Sri Lankan government still refuses free access to media and aid agencies to the Tamils regions. Regardless, the world seems to know the "reality" of how the LTTE is using the Tamils civilians as human shields through the eyes of the Sri Lankan government. If the LTTE has actually used the Tamils civilians as human shields, then wouldn't it be a golden opportunity for the Sri Lankan government to let reporters talk to the IDPs came out of the "safety zone"? Would not that be as easy as the PR work gets for the Sri Lankan government? The west seems to turn a blind eye on the logic too.

President Obama has asked the LTTE to lay down arms, however has not released any plan to relieve Tamils of their miseries in the detentions camps or the "safety zone"

The carnage continues in Sri Lanka. Satellite image analysis and many other reliable sources have indicated the unwillingness of the Sri Lankan government to spare Tamils civilians lives. LTTE has repeatedly released press reports to work cooperatively with the international community, has unilaterally declared ceasefire and has urged media & aid agencies presence.

The west still seems to be struggling to react to the carnage of Tamils civilians despite the fact it has enabled the perfect climate for the blood bath by weakening the LTTE.

The void creating by weakning LTTE has accomodated the Sri Lankan State Terrorism to carry out the colossal bloodshed of Tamils in Sri Lanka after 1983 Black July.

Looking for villans and blaming the British in 1948? Does this throw any real light on the situation of today?

Yes, it should Mr. gerrypopplestone. Countries which have done wrong should stand up to their mistakes and correct them.

The British did this to Tamils in Sri Lanka in 1833, when they combined the Tamils' free state with the Sinhalese free state. When British left is 1948, they should have left Tamils free state should have be redefined. It is not enough invade a country and rob them of their resources and leave a community in bloodbath for the years to come.

When UK declared LTTE as terrorists, they should have also banned the Sri Lankan state terrorist government, which has done state sponsored terrorism since 1948. Partially passing judgment on the rebel force has solely paved the way for the current carnage.

UN, HRW and Amnesty has been warning the world on this Carnage about to unfold, however the west choose to ignore it.

Now, even the foreign minister of UK, US, UN and others have no way of stopping the Sri Lankan goverment's bloodthirst of Tamils.

It is not about blaming Mr. gerrypopplestone, it is about owning up to the mistakes and taking firm actions to correct them.

Leaving innocent Tamils civilians to be killed, tortured and raped at the terrorist Sri Lankan Government is what the world is doing after interfering in Sri Lanka's balance of power by weakening LTTE.

Yes, the entire world is wrong and heart-less and genocide manufacturing and "freedom fighter" banning. Only the disillusioned, egoistic, suffering from identity crisis and acute inferiority complex infected “dumeels" like you are “right” throughout the history of this conflict. Their inferiority complex is such that even though living in various western countries in relative comfort, they want to create their "sovereign state" that believed to be (only by this wonderful disaporans) established by the king gorilla "Onthebeggan" the great, under the same British rule. Flabbergasting....!

But the most fantastic part of this entire KoG business is that these venerable bodies, these elite warriors of disapora, don’t want to give up all those physical comforts of their respective countries - wherever they have infested stating false reasons like "asylum seekers" and “terrorism victims” - go to the war front where the real action is happening. Nor do they send out their kith and kin to do the dirty bush work in Sri Lankan jungles and die. Instead what these types can do is better than any revolutionary ever did in the world history. Throw some coins to their terrorist organization nick named as “freedom fighters”, buy them a gun and turn it towards Sri Lanka. But guns can’t fight the alone. So the terrorists faced with severe shortage of manpower , as innovative they are , turned to kidnapping the children from the poor tamil families who were living peacefully in Sri Lanka for years. It easy to brain-wash children and turn them to top-class terrorists. Since the LTTE leadership was gifted manipulators, they knew very well the methods of influencing the children - Hero worship.

The children were fed fairy tales of tamil “veeram” and “bravery” of existed as well as imaginary valiant kings and great gorillas. Theory or jungle is hammered onto their little brains – “that it is ok to kill anyone you think that against you. You should have absolute and unquestionable loyalty towards your leader. Eelam is more valuable than the live of all of you tamils.” Your life belongs to Eelam and in turn to the great “leeder”.

The same thing is fed to the diasporans, but in a different way. Their duty is to supply unlimited amount of money for the cause, relentlessly keep typing the biggest lies in the history of the world - imagining that they are absolute truths and then howl words like “genocide, pesticide, cluster bombs, chemical weapons” etc on the top of their voice and it’s computer variety in boldest and darkest fonts. Thank you very much, Joseph Goebbels..!! They are spared from dirtying their hands and allowed to continue enjoy the comforts they were enjoying in lieu of doing this and only this job.

Now what happened? Today’s eelam is just the size of a loin cloth and after a few days that too will vanish. Your freedom fighters will not be able to show their shadow anywhere in the world. Don’t even want to mention your megalomaniac “leeder.”

But think about the poor Tamils who had to pay with their lives blood for your sorry “homeland”. Do you have any first hand experience what they had gone through to realize your nightmarish eelam? What answer do you give to them? Why the hell are you blaming the whole world, UN, India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and all other countries? IT is you, the god cursed LTTE supporting diasporans, brought this carnage on those poor Sri Lankan tamils. What moral right do you have to question the people of other countries who welcomed you all with both the hands when you went there shouting lies?

Not only IDPs, I think countries like Canada, UK, Australia should start investigating on the people who were openly protesting, not for IDPs, but to protect LTTE by waving the LTTE flags.

Some of them might be innocent, however it is highliy likely that the organisers of those events to have a direct link with LTTE and even with other terrorist organisations. I do not have facts to prove this statement, it is just that what I think as a possibility given the scale of funding, arms smuggling, media support, europian political backing that these people had.

Also SOME of the europian politicians may have strong backing from these terrorist groups by way of funding political campaigns and personal business interests. Within next few days, we'll see the end of war in Sri Lanka, will that mean it will end in west? These people will try something out in Europe to find ways to fund terrorism, probably in Europe and Canada.

Toronto could be a great target for Tamils to make the next homeland claim because the tamils who have migrated by various ways to Canada, most of them are strong Ealam supporters.

Since they have sacrificed generations by supporting LTTE for this and failed, now they will look in to other options. It is highly likely that the plans are already in place. It is difficult to do this in India, Sri Lanka without taking arms because of the way south asian politics work. It is too hard and any funding towards this will be a waste for tamils because even they find a breakthrough with one south asian government, things can change with the next government that comes to power.

I would also think and feel it is not the same in western countries. Tamil Ealam supporters can always find a way and once you win your rights, it is secured. It is like Asylam Seekers. All they have to do is to somehow step in to these countries. They get all facilities, benefits and the life is secured more than anywhere in the world.

Just my thinking only. Don't ask me to provide facts to prove my claims.

Are you telling that diaporans are trying to revive the LTTE terrorism in some other format? Will you keep supporting LTTEs? Even after they did this much "savings" to the tamils.?
