Wonderful view and docking conditions, experienced Pilots and a privileged location inside the Historic Centre of Old Havana (declared World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO), but it remains quite and useless the most of the time.  Is Sierra Maestra Cruises Terminal, located in the Havana Bay, a place forbidden for Americans.

Costas Cruise Line  used to come. Pullmantur used to come. Holiday Dreams used to come. But all they were bought by Royal Caribbean, a Miami based company, one of the big ones in cruises business over the World.  Then, the diabolic engines of the Helms-Burton Act, speciallly designed for smashing Cuba's economy, were put on and the ships, the contracts with Cuban workers and enterprises went away.

Since 2006 and before,  cruises calendars across the Caribbean Sea avoid Cuban ports, with only a few exceptions. For instance, the British ship Boudicca visit Santiago de Cuba once a month, linking this city with Nassau, Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic.

When will Americans be able to visit Cuba freely?
