Uttarakhand:Licence fee hiked, closing time for liquor shops increased by one hour

Dehradun:The State Cabinet,  approved the new Excise Policy. While the majority of the provisions of the current policy remained unchanged, it was decided to increase in the licence fee slabs to generate additional revenue to the tune of Rs 7.75 crores.

the Liquor shops will remain open till 9.00 P.M.

The govt are more interested in selling liquor rather than stopping it.

the amount of revenue it brings through taxes is immense.

the liquor drinking is a menace in the hill state where even 12 year old kids are getting addicted.Hope the govt will do something about it.
