NP Rank:
Vancouver British Columbia Schools Checking Parents For Gang Ties
Barry Artiste Op. Ed
I remember a time when schools checked on the parents to see who would volunteer on committees such as outings, sports and even for potential candidates for the PTA.
My how times have changed on the Lefty Driven West Coast, where the Law of the Land is , well pretty much non existent, when Police hands are Zap Strapped in the BC World of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS! Apparently one has to jump through hoops and whistles when investigating Known Gangsters, for fear of being brought up on Human Rights Violations! Now to mention some Criminals have had up to 140 criminal convictions, yet our Lefty BC Justices see fit to release these criminals back out on the streets!! Liberals and the NDP have ruled this province for a decade and the status quo gets worse and worse!
It is only going to get worse, when an officer has to think twice on profiling a suspect, even career criminals as they drive away, with their middle finger pointed upwards in the air! What many who are not from BC do not know are the drive bys near schools, not to mention murders of parents as they drive their kids to school, gunned down in front of kids. Now how groovy is that, I ask you? When I state who gunned down these criminals, well Asian Gangs come to mind, when Gangs from other countries, and more so recent Asian gangs are allowed to immigrate to Canada, particularly British Columbia, goes to show that you can buy your way into Canada, and these gangs who bring their violence to BC and exact it on other Asian criminals and gangs as they drive their kids to school or in a shopping mall. It is too late when something tragic happens and then School officials find out time and time again a shooting has occurred near a school and go into lockdown, soon find out the Parents has their kids attending their school. Parents it has been told who are as bloodthirsty as the Gangsters who try and gun them down!
But the Sheeple who consistently allow our revolving door justice to exist, sit passively by, that is until some gangster decides to take a school and the children hostage! Then the Complacent, ask How could this Happen?
Give your head a shake you Lefty Morons, it already has!
Below are 2 of my previous Op.Eds on Crime in BC, including a National Magazine in which BC was voted Super Crime Capital of the World. How is that for being NO 1 ?

VANCOUVER -- Several Vancouver private schools are screening applicants to determine if their families are linked to gangs and pose a risk to students and staff.
"We have recently been engaged by private schools in the Vancouver area to conduct due diligence on the families of prospective students," Kim Marsh, managing director of private investigation firm IPSA International, confirmed to the Vancouver Province.
Mr. Marsh, a former RCMP inspector who headed a police organized-crime unit, won't identify the schools, for privacy reasons, but he acknowledged "it's fair to say" his business has increased following the shooting of West Point Grey Academy parent Betty Yan, in April.

After spending many years in PTA and other parent organizations for schools and sports, I would have been be hard pressed to think parent volunteers in schools were linked to gangs, but those were different times and just getting parents involved was a major task, let alone exclude any volunteers. Most of the time the same parents volunteered year after year.
The parents who volunteered back then were dedicated to making their children's school or sport a more enriching experience and gave many hours happily.
Reading about this is disheartening

I think they are checking to determine if they want to admit any particular student based on the risk posed by their family.

Thanks for your comments. BC is always trying to tell the world, we are a role model as the best place to live in the world, just thought you should know, they the politicians are a bunch of lying Bastards. Just like to set the story straight, when Smug BC, tries to tell other crime ridden cities and school that we are perfect.

Barry: Great story! It's amazing how many gang bangers are out there all over North America. And why wouldn't they want their kids to go to private schools? After all, private schools are, often, much safer than public schools, they offer a better learning environment, and they filter out the riff raff! LOL!

As you may, or may not know, I am about as left as you can get - but there is a lot you have to say that is correct.
One of the problems with pseudo-leftists is that they really don't understand what being left-wing is all about. Leftists don't want to undermine lawful activities at all - neither do they want to bang the wrong person up.
Human right should be applicable to all - but in that definition the operative word is 'all'.
Punitive sentencing isn't right - rehabilitation should be the aim - but, as we are human, there are sometimes when to correct certain behaviour incarceration has to happen.

THanks all, especially Cynic, my girl friend is a lefty, what I am talking about in 40% of all my Op,Eds, are Liberal Leftys who display smug complacency in this province in that if it doesn't affect them personally, they couldn't care less, as long as they have their personal possessions intact, all is well in their world, then there is the other 30% part of them as armchair activists who never put their Money where their Colon Filled Mouth into play, but have lots of money and lots to say, for instance many voted for a real lefty Mayor, until they found makeshift homeless shelters blocking their view of their multi million dollar waterfront properties, with drugs, prostitution and crime on their doorstep, Like where the F^CK did you think at election time the Mayor meant when he said he would provide shelters for the homeless? The F^ckin Yukon Wilderness?
Then there are the 10% of the Lefys, who are shiftless Lazy Ass Bandits who never worked a day in their life and blame everyone for their lot in life, especially the ones who want affordable (actually Free or 300 dollars a month) housing right downtown, so they can make their welfare or unemployment cheque last longer, you see them protesting in the streets, like NO 2010 Olympics we want Social Housing and Jobs!!!! Yeah, NewsFlash there Lefty, lose the self persecution complex, lose the Doc Martens and Fishing Lures stuck to your Tattooed Face and the fuckin ME, ME attitude and maybe someone would friggin hire you so you could afford a friggin House! Oh and forgot about demanding a $15.00 an hour Minimum wage to supplement your drug habit, you dope smoking retards!
The other 20% of lefties I have no problem with who work, give a little, put their money where their mouth is and get involved, though I may agree with some of their politics, I let sleeping dogs lie, cause they sure as hell dont agree with my conservative views.
In my profession from being in the Military,Peacekeeper, Law and now as a Health Physicist, I have interacted with many people, including politicians from a variety of walks of life in Canada and Europe and the Middle East, and let me tell you, I know what works in life, and this ain't it! This Province and Country need change, and the status quo ain't working!
Anyways everyone, thanks for your comments.
I hope you take the opportunity to read my two previous stories and the links I provided in my OP.ED !

I think I posted to Karl a few days ago, not sure and forgive me if I am wrong - but I said then, as I do now, I am that far left I put my hat in the Marxist ring. Yet, and this does become tiresome when you have to repeat it, not in this instance mind you, Marxism - IF people would actually take the time to read it, relies a lot on small 'c' conservatism as well as progressive left-wing incorporation in social justice.
Part of Marxism is about work, as in employment, as it is a matter that working (for all) is a social place and not a matter of making profit for 'the man'. Christ - if people really took socialism to its inth degree they would literally fall flat on their face. Socialism in its truest form means that everybody works - and I mean everybody, sick, ill, disabled as well as able bodied.
Utilising and adopting the means of production does not, in any sense, mean that people can then just piss it up against the wall.
So, if you want a house - you work for that house, if you want beer, you work for that beer etc.
Marxism looks toward egalitarianism - but that is a long, long way off. Before you can attain that you have to capture and understand what socialism is and work through that first.
What you are describing is the anarchic left. They, and socialist and Marxist, would never live in the same world.

Well I suppose times do change - I still quite like BC though

I think you would agree AMy, it would be nice to eat in a any Asian restaurant without having someones brains splatter on you from machinegun fire. remember last year no less than a dozen Asian restaurants had hit squads visit them and machine gun down restaurant patrons in downtown Vangroovy. Sort of wants to make you ask for your meal at half price, that was entertainment I am sure restaurant patrons didnt ask for.
at 20:49 on September 9th, 2009
Yeah, but you give the impression that everyone is gunning down everyone for any reason anywhere no matter what time of day, whether they are involved in gang activity or not or have ties to gangs. I agree, it's gotten worse, like many growing cities with an increasing population, Vancouver is experiencing a higher crime wave. I guess we just live and experience very different parts of Vancouver - having grown up in a third world country where public violence is so much worse, I just see it differently than you.

True., But it may not be everywhere AMy,. but it is certainly centralized in one area of the city
