Vancouver Observer Endorses Gregor Robertson for Mayor of Vancouver by TheVancouverObserver

The Vancouver Observer is enthusiastic about endorsing
Gregor Robertson for mayor. Robertson is the right person for the job.
He is the person to represent the city during the 2010 Winter Olympics
and in the coming months leading up to the games.

Humane,
articulate, and progressive, Robertson is like the manifestation of
what Vancouver is and can be. Robertson will lead Vancouver closer to
actually being the ideal city the world imagines it to be.

With
his business background and humanitarian heart, he will strengthen the
safety net for the poor and be a savvy civic and economic partner, as
all Vancouverites strive to realize their hopes and dreams.

Change
is in the air all over North America and with the right leadership,
Vancouver can continue to shine a light of hope for the world,
exemplifying not perfection, but some of the best of what a city can
be.

Robertson is the leader we need, but change requires action. Not from a few but from many.

We
urge everyone to seize the moment in every way possible. Sign petitions
to help Robertson get the Vision Vancouver nomination (www.gregor08.ca), volunteer to work for him, and if possible donate to his campaign.

Can we have the mayor that reflects who we are, and who we want to become; what we hope for and what we dream our city can be?

Yes, we can.  (Read more about Robertson's campaign on The Vancouver Observer.)
