PHILIPPINES -- it was aired early today in the local TV news network that POPE BENEDICT XVI pledged a solemn prayer for the survivors and victims with most numbers of casualties were children with evidences of scattered children's slippers around the shore of Sibuyan Island, Masinloc etc -- caused by the typhoon FRANK with codename "FENGSHEN"

POPE says -- "It is with deep emotion that I learn this morning of the sinking in the Philippines of a ferry hit by Typhoon Fengshen (local codename Frank)," after reciting the Angelus prayer followed by  his Sunday mass.

Known to the Filipinos that Pope expressed a feeling of closeness to the Philippines after his visit last year. Devoted catholics also offered prayers during masses today.

Though the storm shows its capability to distroy, you will still see signs of hope from the eyes of victims and relatives that this will soon be over. This is just one of the storm that will never let Filipino hearts be distressed.
