UPDATE: 1508 EST: CNN reports that authorities have now given the all-clear.
EARLIER: This news comes several days after a vial of ricin was found in a hotel room just off the Las Vegas strip.
LAS VEGAS -- One room in the Excalibur Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas has been quarantined after a man reported waking up covered in white powder, authorities said.
Clark County firefighters received the report just before 10 a.m. They said a 44-year-old man called hotel workers into his room after waking up with white powder over his bed, reported KVVU-TV in Las Vegas.
He and the responding hotel workers have been secluded until the powder is tested. Hazardous materials crews were en route to the hotel to investigate.
Officials said the man seems to be in normal health and cannot confirm at this time what the powder is.
