Veronica Lario, the wife of Italy's PM Silvio Berlusconi, will disclose all her reasons for divorcing her husband in a book called The Veronica Trend (Tendenza Veronica). The book released today in Italy was written by journalist Maria Latella. Lario filed for divorce in May, accusing her husband of cheating on her with model Noemi Letizia. In Veronica Trend, Lario accuses Berlusconi of lying to her during their relationship of 19 years. Lario also suggests that Berlusconi would benefit from sex addiction therapy, and that it could save their marriage.

The Veronica Trend, an updated biography of Ms Lario to be published on Wednesday, is based on interviews conducted by the author and journalist Maria Latella, with the Prime Minister’s wife of 19 years.
It is the first time that Ms Lario presents her side of the story since announcing her divorce.

Ms Latella used a foreword in the paperback version of her biography of Ms Lario to reveal that members of Mr Berlusconi’s inner circle have urged him to enter a sex addiction clinic as part of a process of reconciliation.
The book outlines two future scenarios involving the Italian leader and his wife.
One is a partial return to her husband’s side, to “help him to rediscover himself”, with Mr Berlusconi agreeing to be cured for sex addiction.
The other, perhaps more likely, scenario that the book presents is a consensual divorce in which the Italian leader and his wife agree on a division of his fortune and go their separate ways, perhaps with her resettling in London.
