My thanks to Applebees and Goldon Corral for recognizing veterans on Veterans day with a free meal. Although I won't be able to make it to either of these today, I will make sure that I give both of these restaurants my business in the future and I will recommend them to others.

I just want to say thank you to Applebee's and Golden Corral for their expression of thanks by serving free meals to our veterans of our past wars and our active military today. They deserve so much more for what they have done for us especially those of the Viet Nam war who were never recognized at that time and put down for what was not their fault. Thank you for your acknowledgement, you deserve then and you too!

To Applebee's corporate: Just want to thank you for extending your hand to the many Veterans at the McHenry, Ill. Applebee's...the line was out the door, the bartenders, Dan and Brandon were great as well as the delicious entres you offered us. Met some other veterans, shared some stories, had a few brews and went home knowing that someone actually appreciates what we did. Cheers and more cheers for your thoughtfulness. God bless the troops who are out there in the field right now. Thomas Trausch,Vietnam, 1968-69.
