Vice Chancellor of Open University Faces Corruption & Sexual Assault charges

Rampant corruption in the state open university has been revealed in the special audit of the university along with the sexual assault charges against the Vice Chancellor of the university.

Right from the survey of land for the university to computers purchase financial irregularities have come to the fore.

All the norms were flouted for the purchase of the computers and missappriation to the tune of 33 lakhs have taken place.

The government has taken the matter seriously and have fired the vice chancellor of the University.

The report submitted to the Governor says that Prof. Hassan is not deemed fit to stay on the coveted post as he is behind all the embezzelment.

The police have been told to file a case of financial irregularities and sexual harassment( their were complaints made earlier against the proff.Hassan by some female staff.)

It has been said that prof. has embezzelled  33 lakhs approx. amount of money for  survey of land to be acquired from forest department, eventually the acquisation never took place.

For the computer purchase no tender were floated and the rate fixed for the purchase were much higher indicating that payoff of some kind had taken place.The cos close to the V.C. were given orders for the purchase of computers and stationary.

the auditing agency has raised question on many such sales and purchases by V.C. Prof. Hasan

The city was in shock to hear the news and the teaching community flayed the action of the proffesor in question.

More financial irregularities will be unearthed and this cannot happen without the help of corrupt politicians.

Police are also looking into the matter of sexual assault and collecting evidence for the same.
