Village people recieves free haircut, medical, dental and legal consultation services

MANDALUYONG CITY, PHILIPPINES - Village residents from Welfareville Compound, Addition Hills in Mandaluyong City were given free haircut, medical, dental and legal consultation services by the City Government headed by Mayor Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr. and Vice Mayor Renato B. Sta. Maria in cooperation with elements of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).  Free medicines were also distributed to the patients donated by pharmaceutical companies.  The community outreach was held last October 18, 2008 at Jose Fabella Memorial School.

Units of the AFP who participated were the following: Civil Military Operations Battalion of the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force General Hospital, Philippine Army Fort Bonifacio General Hospital and the Technical Service Brigade of the AFP Reserve Command.  Other organizations who assisted the project were the Alpha Phi Omega Dental Association of the Philippines and the Mandaluyong Dental Association.

A total of 3,220 residents benefited from the said project.
