The power supply has still not been rectified. The Department is under grip of rampant corruption alleged the villagers of the region.
MUSSOORIE, 15 Feb:
The villagers of Kempty and Jaunpur block are agitated over the power cut over the last 5 days during this chilly spring season.
The villagers complained that electricity has eluded them since 11 February and has not returned yet. They said children preparing for their board exams were the main sufferers due to this, as it was hindering their preparations, but the BJP government was sleeping. Such was the apathy of the officials concerned that they had either switched off their phones or were not picking them up.
The lackadaisical attitude of the officials exposed the lack of ommitment of the BJP government for the rural areas, they complained. The BJP workers of the region are also saddened at the high-handedness of the officials and said that, if a solution was not found soon, it would be difficult for them to convince people to vote for the BJP in the coming elections.
