On saturday night, residents and commuters near Stanley Park Causeway witnessed horror as a car was torn to pieces after the driver, a young man on his way to Stanley Park with his frends, lost control of his vehicle and crashed at around 12:30 am.

Fire fighters, police and ambulances were quick to respond to the crash as well as local media crews. Luckily both the driver and his passenger got away with non-life-threatening injuries.

While their friends, who were following them in two other vehicles, were giving statements to the police, the two were quickly rushed to the hospital after one of them had to be removed from the car with the help of jaws-of-life.

The passenger was released from the hospital the same night while the driver suffered a broken leg and underwent surgery and is now recooperating in hospital.
