MSC Fantasia - man overboard - raw video footage

Palma del Mallorca, Spain - Cruise ship passengers have had to be rescued from the sea after stong winds caused a gangway to collapse on Thursday.  An eighty year old Egyptian man is being treated in the hospital for head injuries.

The Italian-owned MSC Fantasia drifted away from the port wall in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, in gusts of up to 110km per hour.  Passengers were making their way off the liner when a strong blast caused her to break her moorings.

What would a shaman say about the meaning of this? :)

The point, for me, is that no matter how wealthy you are and no matter how apparently peaceful our world about us may seem, we are not that far from death, just as it has been for millions of years before us.

Our "cruises", our getaways, are nice and even necessary. I would like to take a cruise, but there are no glitch-free zones in the world.

The Aztecs had a saying when a child was born: "The Mother has taken a prisoner", and that meant that another person had just been admitted to this life, a life dominated by Higher Power and never by us.

Only 1 passenger fell in the sea and had to be rescued according to the Sky story linked to!

That must have been some scary moments for those passengers.

Holy Frimoli!

That's why I like to stay ashore! Me being a Capricorn and all...suits me the best.
