I was hoping that I would not be reporting about another storm. I wanted it to be a story about a warming trend that gently washed the white away. No such luck.
Now the wind is gusting at about 35 mph and up to 50 mph in some places. Maybe it will blow the snow from the rooftops.
From what is on my window facing northwest, the blowing is right at me. The drift in front of my door that shrunk yesterday in the sun is growing up again. At least from my vantage, it looks like a curve with the slope trending in a positive direction.
The flower pots that were humorously filled high with snow have now blown from their perches and have disappeared. I am taking a fresh picture to share the view.
Today, I am working from home and have a full agenda. See you later when the Situation Room returns to my living room with Wolf Blitzer. Yes, cable is back.

After a period of sleet and freezing rain overnight, the entire metro area is now changing back to snow and should stay that way through much of today.
