Last night, Virginia Tech students held a candlelight vigil for the victims of last week's shooting at NIU.
Officials at Northern Illinois University and Virginia Tech say the schools will now be forever linked.

Hokies came together to show support for NIU with a candlelight vigil Monday night. Tech students say they know what the NIU campus is going through right now.

"We share their pain and we want to show our support to them," said John McBrien, a member of Hokies United. "There is a group of college students who can relate to them and provide them with support and help if they need it."

"Hokies for Huskies" is the phrase that has been echoing throughout the Blacksburg campus in the last few days.
