Working out of a rental truck a group of motivated volunteers are changing the lives for a great number in need. Rebuildingphilly.org a division of rebuilding together has waged war against crumbling houses. The elderly and disabled are being help buy a number of dedicated volunteers from remodeling to repainting. These young adults are making an apparent difference with the guidance of professional contractors. Pictured in this article are photo's of before and the progress they have made.

This non-profit group has made a big difference. As one of the women being helped informed me that "they are my guardian angels" " I prayed for help and they came too me!!!" The major project pictured to the right has been the biggest job if not to say the toughest! With a strong determination to see it through this small group has made major progress.

One week ago when i was first approached by a member of the organizing team I thought the house was ready for the wrecking ball. Then saturday morning when i entered the house I felt the air leave me in astonishment at the progress they had made in such a short time. The group mainly work weekends since they have their studies to attend too during the week.

I am proud to have been brought into the group too try and get them media coverage. They are a group i am proud to know. If you would like any information on the group and their mission you can either contact the group organizer for philadelphia at rebuildingphilly.org or to find a chapter in your area just google rebuilding together.

Email me and i will send you a link to the slide show i created in order to let people see how they look in action. Send me an email at smellr@mac.com.
