Voting in 19 EU states for Parliament The bulk of EU member states go to the polls today in the European Parliament elections.

Voters in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Sweden have their first opportunity to cast ballots for the 736 seats in the parliament.

11 countries, including Ireland, have already either completed or commenced their voting.

Italy holds the second of two days of voting today.
