Wake up call, Sputnik moment, and last meow

We are in crisis mode but it is not like losing the satellite shot to the Russians. It was a wakeup call for sure and that we had when G W Bush departed office. Now, we are supposed to be awake and addressing systemic breakdown. It just may be that capitalism doesn’t really work as we knew it. Something better, new and different is in store and that is not socialism either.

In tonight's State of the Union address, President Obama will declare "this is our generation's Sputnik moment." According to excerpts of his prepared remarks, Obama will say that "two years after the worst recession most of us have ever known, the stock market has come roaring back.”
