Washington Mutual bank made a serious mistake when they auctioned the wrong house in Homestead, Florida. The Ramirez residence received no notification of the upcoming sale.

Anna Ramirez was shocked to find her possessions damaged and strewn all over her front lawn last week when she returned home. The highest bidder who purchased the house asked Ramirez and her family to vacate her (and what he thought was his) home.

"They literally threw all her stuff on the front lawn.

Police ordered Ramirez, her husband, daughter and grandchildren three hours to vacate their home. According to postchronicle.com, the mistake rendered the family homeless for over 24 hours.

They had to stash their belongings at multiple locations and shacked up with a friend for the night as cops chained the doors of their home.
The sale was eventually reversed by a Miami-Dade judge, allowing Ramirez to return to her old digs. Ramirez said she wants to sue for the damage to her furniture."

not surprised

If I were the Ramirez family, I would expect to move into a larger house with all new furniture-courtesy of my lawsuit.  This kind of mistake by a bank is inexcusable, especially in light of all their other crimes against humanity.  A friend, now deceased, always said that banks are as sleazy as insurance companies.

.......and people wonder why I belong to a credit union and not one of those sleazy no-good banks.  I hope that the Ramirez family is successful with their lawsuit.
