Australia's Attorney General today announced that Australia would sign the optional protocol on the Convention Against Torture. McClelland also announced that water-boarding IS torture.

How sly of you, Mike. Robots! not real men! a ride? Not very amusing for an amusement park. unless it's in the House of Horrors, where you might expect something like this. I hope there is an age limit on this 'ride'.

Well, In the Middle age torture, executions and others where there for the Public amusement and maybe even for public control! It looks like we are getting back to it!

If you read the article in its entirety you'll see that the intent is not to amuse but to provoke some thinking on the issue. If anyone is trying to normalize waterboarding it is those who are defending its use. Even the term 'waterboarding' seems benign when contrasted against the reality of the act.
