August 5, 2011 8:41:02 AM

The U.S. economy added 117,000 jobs in July and the nation’s unemployment rate slipped to 9.1 percent, the Labor Department reported Friday. The news comes a day after markets plunged over fears that the global economy is heading into another recession.

And how many jobs were lost in July? According to Bloomberg report, 66,414 jobs lost. A 59% in job cuts in July that will continue through 2015. The pharmaceutical industry led the firings with 13,493 job cut announcements in July. New Jersey led all states with 13,330 announced job cuts in July, followed by Michigan with 10,923.,br>

Consumer spending dropped in June for the first time in almost two years as a hiring slowdown caused consumers to retrench. Purchases fell 0.2 percent last month after a 0.1 percent gain the prior month, Commerce Department figures showed yesterday.

Slowing sales is one of the reasons San Jose, California- based Cisco Systems Inc., the largest networking-equipment maker, announced last month it plans to eliminate about 6,500 jobs. Goldman Sachs Inc. also announced it will cut about 1,000 jobs.

Those are your liberal capitalist from the bailouts running for cover. That's what happens when Obama broadcasts the message loud and clear that he will not reduce his spending and sends out his VP to publicly announce that anyone even hinting that the government should reducing spending will be labeled a terrorist. So companies have to look at their whole card and take the measures necessary to remain solvent in a failing economy induced by unfettered government spending. These guys are figuring through 2015 and that is the extent of Obama's reign. They'll probably respond again with further job losses if Obama win re-election as it's doubtful that Obama will all of a sudden curb his need to build big government or rethink his tax and spend agenda.

The most difficult problems require:

1. Competent Leadership

2. Prudence

2. Solid Problem-solving Process attributed with Very Able People

3. Business Knowledge

Ideological disputes accomplish nothing.

Drug references. Why not just shout 'NAZI' or throw out the 'N' word and be up front with your prejudices. Though I'm not surprised that the progressive left is already rewriting history denying the fact that they refer to everyone else as  terrorist. I can hardly wait to hear the next derisive label for those who haven't embraced the big government tax and spend social agenda of Obama.

"Why not just shout 'NAZI' or throw out the 'N' word and be up front with your prejudices.". I'll leave that up to you .30-06

"I'm not surprised that the progressive left is already rewriting history denying the fact that they refer to everyone else as terrorist."

lol..What planet you from?

As for any 'big government tax and spend social agenda', I believe that issue is dead now. US credit rating just got hit and we have approx 15 trillion in real debt. Smaller, leaner and meaner government is the future for the USA.

The gunslinger is transparent.

Transparent is honest. Too bad Obama and his progressives weren't equally transparent with their governing and be as honest with the people who they are to supposedly serve in terms of nation not partisan agenda.

Totally dishonest to not acknowledge that the Democratic Party and VP Biden both publicly referred to the Tea Party as terrorist. All because the Republicans want to curb spending or at minimum tie future spending to cost cutting. Equally dishonest to suggest that Obama has seen the light and will of his own accord reduce the size of government and curb his spending agenda. We non-partisans are fully aware how Obama fought every cost cutting measure and played brinkmanship to get the least restrictive spending with the least future accountability for further debt. Had it not been for the Tea Party there would have been zero restrictions on Obama's future spending.

No TPers are terrorists and are intent on ruining the American System. They had a small victory, but soon the fickle public will speak again and stamp out anti-American behavior. I want more intelligent immigrants to pay down our debt.

Thanks for making it official. Anyone not goosstepping to the Obama big government tax and spend agenda is a terrorist and anti-American. And you want immigrants to pay down your debt. A true progressive liberal. Spend your way into debt and then demand the new fellow bail you out.
