We finally Found American flags at the Convention
For two days RedState has been at the Democratic Convention trying to find American flags.
Sure, when the television cameras come on for prime time network coverage, the Democrats have been passing out flags like candy.
But when the prime time lights are not on, and for the entire time Tuesday night, including during prime time, there have been no American flags: not in the crowd, not on the stage, not in the hallways -- nowhere.
Well, we finally found some American flags.
Let's skip, for a minute, that this is supposed to be an environmentally friendly campaign and the flags were thrown in with paper, plastic, food, and other junk. Ignore that.
Just focus on this: The Democrats only pulled out the flags for prime time Monday night and Wednesday night. They have otherwise avoided all displays of the American flag.
After Wednesday night, they threw them in the trash.
Sincerely yours,
Erick Erickson

politisite, I like this story. It's good stuff.
So, in Denver, would that "garbage" go to an incinerator to be "burned"?

Thank You. That is a good question. Erik had to return to his offices at RedState so he was unable to leave a detail to fully track the items if their final destination was to a recycling center or to the garbage heap. One bit of evidence is that the material is not separated into the various components for the recycling bin. If it goes to the incinerator, one would know that Dems are flag burners.
Basically the idea of a Green convention is window dressing for those who cover the event. The reason I have come to this conclusion is they reported that they have nixed the balloons because they are not environmentally friendly. But as you watch the pillars at Invesco Field tonight you may become aware of Carbon Dioxide being released from the fireworks they plan to use at the end of the event. So the choice was balloons or fireworks... which is more environmentally friendly, Balloons or the expelling of greenhouse gases for fanfare following the hot air that is being expelled from the various speakers and bands at the big event.?
Most of the transportation was by golf cart. I noticed very little golf cart pulling going on. One of South Carolina's Larger Congressman, Clyburn, had a golf cart assigned to himself. It reminds me of the environmentally friendly Speaker Pelosi who that that when she became speaker, she should be afforded a private jet for her personal use. I am thinking that the Jet may have been used to promote her failed book speaking of her failed congress.
Those green golf carts, are not so green. They did not plan for enough and ended up using gasoline powered carts. The reason? Poor planning. If the DNC can't PLAN for a convention, how do they expect to PLAN for the country.
And so it goes. A political party who wants everyone to walk or bike to the speech tonight to carbon offset Speaker Pelosi's use of a private Jet. Now that is working together.

They should have asked the Clintons to blow up the balloons. They have lots of surplus hot air that otherwise just gets wasted on meaningless words.

I just cringed when I saw the photos of the American Flags in the trash. I immediately thought of the flags that are so lovingly folded, and carefully placed, in the hands of the reletives after the funeral. You know the ones? The funerals where loved ones are buried after serving their country. It is disgraceful.
And instead of blowing up ballons, they could have blown up Al Gore! That would be a specticle.
