Regarding a global coastal event, loss of supplies are not as critical as what will happen when the waters hit ALL the nuclear reactors sitting along the entire E & W US coasts and rest setting ,think of the nuclear reactors will be destroyed by seismic events on the W coast! There will be no where to run for safety once they start spewing out massive amounts of radiation and fallout.
