Weinergate USA: Weiner Pussyfoots Around Twitter Dick Pic
New York Congressman Anthony Weiner is currently dealing with the fallout from a picture of man's bulging underwear making its way from his Twitter account to one of his followers who happens to be a 21 year old college student from Washington state.
Jon Stewart, who apparently crashed with Weiner and other mutual friends a few weekends one summer, brought up the scandal on the May 31 episode of "The Daily Show."
"Here's my dilemma," he says. "We are looking at story about a snapshot that appears to be an ample helping of penis allegedly posted by a congressman whose name is a synonym for penis... As a comedian this is a slam dunk, Weiner name, wiener picture. But as friend, I really hope that this story is not true."
Stewart also took aim at CNN, which hasn't had the most attractive role in all of this. After lingering on the subject in a press conference, CNN producer Ted Barrett was called a "jackass" by Weiner -- and in an ensuing episode of "John King USA," the lack of information other outlets had easily gathered had the "Daily Show" host mocking their reporting.
Weiner denies he posted the picture. He says he was hacked or maybe it was a prank. He is not sure the picture is of his breifs. He is having it investigated . He goes on to say that it could have been photo shopped. This is a story that could continue .
