During the Democratic primaries, I sometimes wondered if Obama and Clinton sometimes secretly wished the other would win, given the mess that they were inheriting. It certainly is Herculean -- a foreign policy agenda that has America bogged down in not one but two wars, exploding debt and an imploding economy. Be careful what you wish for Mr. Obama, it's difficult to see how anyone is going to shovel their way out of this big pile of **** that Bush has left for him.

The good news is that the world's largest bond fund manager, PIMCO, is anticipating the day when President Obama takes office. The bad news is that they're also anticipating the size of the heaping pile that Bush will leave behind.
