This is an eyewitness report from the NowPublic member Klaus who was on the scene.
NP Rank:
Yesterday afternoon a bush fire broke out in the resort community of Kelowna BC. over 10,000 residents and tourists have been ask evacuate the area. The Forest fire has grown today and is being fueled by the dry and Hot conditions. Fire fighters using all resources available to them are working to keep the situation under control. Water Bomber planes, and helicopters are helping where they can. This community has seen what a fire can do and has rallied to help the displaced residents. Hotels and community shelters have been set up to help those people effected.
Today everyone is hoping the gusty winds will dye down so that the fire fighting teams can stay on top of the situation. The fire looked very dramatic last night. Will keep you posted.

Thanks Klaus, but this is already being reported earlier. Can you post your updates there, if you don't mind. You don't have to though.
