Six People, Including Three State Troopers, Were Shot in West Virginia on August 28, 2012

Local media outlets are reporting that five people, including three state troopers, were wounded in a mass shooting. One of the state troopers is believed to have died.

It is believed that the shooting took place in Clay County near a park-and-ride on Interstate 79.

WOWK reporter David Iversen said the shooting took place over "2 separate crime scenes."

Iversen added: "5 people shot total in Amma shooting: 2 wvsp troopers, 1 wrecker driver, 1 Roane county deputy and an unnamed suspect"

He then wrote: "2 troopers shot at Wallback park and ride. Wrecker driver shot there. Suspect left. Met by Roane County deputy, suspect an[d] deputy are shot."

The suspect is also believed to have died in the shooting.
