What are the triggers to commit suicide bombing?

I wonder how people commit suicide bombing. What are the triggering factors? Is it the expectation that the suicide bomber will go to heaven after death or is it stimulant drugs that motivate the bombers to take that last action for life?

I wrote a piece in NowPublic as jihad is the most frightening declaration of war as it is a massive committed action. That is because of massiveness but suicide bombing is even more frightening action, although individual action with, of course, massive destruction.

How can suicide bombing be monitored and controlled? I think in regions where suicide bombing is frequent, a new technology that monitors and controls each individual need to be invented. Although such monitoring and controlling of individuals violates human rights, there is no choice than implementing a new technology of control to avoid massive destruction by suicide bombers. Is it not?
