Technology: It always astounds me in how easy things are becoming like instant recall from silicon memory integrated into mobile phones thus lessoning our needs to utilize our memories in remembering such numbers unless that is one looses ones mobile. Do they incorporate “backup” memory for transportation of such numbers to a new phone – umm!. Automation allows our clocks and associated equipment to either advance or retard, setting itself to a new local time and day in our Global Travels but what day is it really?.

In being + 8 hours UTC advanced I think that I’m a ahead in a day relative to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />London but am I really?.

Looking down on planet Earth at the North Pole it revolves “anti-clockwise” into the Sun to bring a new days beginning and the +/- UTC step is relative to London GMT (Datum one). The other datum is directly opposite the sun at 00:00:0000 on the dark side of our planet as a “clicker” switching-in new days as they come into contact with it. Thus we have “two datums” – one static and one revolving (London GMT).

ONLY London in its revolution anti-clockwise passing the “clicker” can begin a “new day ” number ( 1st, 2nd, 3rd …….. etc ) while that having passed the clicker prior remains a day behind until it itself “switches in” to that new day. In London GMT being a datum it’s both the “start” and the “end” of a day meaning a difference of 24 hours.

So, although I’m +8hrs UTC ahead I’m really 24 (day)– 8 = 16 hours to go before entering a day as set by London. To be +1 hour UTC ahead (eg: Paris/Brussels etc) it has 23 hours before taking on a London DAY STAMP!. That +1hour UTC really means a “slot” to which two “days” align for brief period before one changes.

Unusualness is about Countries that can share almost the same mid-day sun yet because they be near a “datum” be 23 hours “out of phase” as to the DAY!. Time relative to its rotating datum however gives little awareness as to such differences in the day. Its amazing to take a 15 hour flight and go back in time YET only a 1 hour difference in travel can take you back 23 hours relative!.

Just image the scenario of being in London and picking up a simple parking ticket but then travel to Paris and be sitting in front of a Lawyer at the same day and time as that ticket was issued by allowing the planet to revolve into the same day/time frame!.

Can the EU misaligned Eastward from London adopt the same day as London?. Personally I think not since London after all is the Datum on Planet Earth – is it not?.

What of the bigger issues as to the EU adopting London as its DAY datum – it being in the realm of 23 hours of yesterday?. Would all of the EU Brussels Policies become lawfully illegal by not recognizing Britain’s Standard in that Brussels be still in “yesterday” as to the day UNLESS it awaits 11pm for the days to align OFFICIALLY?. What of MEP’s whom “sign” as to their own time frame contracts while in a different time frame – are they all illegal as to Britishness in having a datum?
