Is it hard to admit to a mistake and apologizes? Why are people of all kinds so proud that they would rather go through various difficulties when a simple apology would probably be enough to placate those he had done wrong.
Why not just simply apologize?

Any accused is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Aren't these cases filed by the Iglesia ni Cristo? So obvious! They are just using influences to make Bro. Eli Soriano appear evil when in fact, they are the ones which have so many CRIMINAL cases like murder, rape, etc. that have been judged even by the SUPREME COURT ..

What bothers me is that if Bro Eli Soriano was tried for these offenses would he get justice if he is innocent? That may be why he is hiding away. I do not like these religious cults as the church leaders run them as money making businesses.
However I do love to see justice and not Kangaroo courts, I also hate to see a person stated guilty by the media prior to justice being served at court. The following link shows the problem here in the Philippines concerning cases of rape Rape case more difficult accused its a story wrote by a Filipino citizen journalist friend of mine of which I just had to seed here on Now public. It highlights what problems Bro Eli would be looking at if he surrended himself for Filipino justice. It's extremely well balanced and I believe it highlight the truth of the matter.

You are prejudging the whole Philippine judicial system. That's not only unfair, it is wrong, specially coming from a foreigner enjoying the hospitality of his host nation. You can always leave and go back to England.
No one in the media stated that Soriano is guilty. You should check your facts.
Any case, not just rape, is difficult if there is nothing to go with other than the words of the contending parties. You can check with your lawyer friends about this.

I pay a lot of money for my stay in this country and I bring in millions of pesos into your economy, its not a case of hospitality I am certainly not here out of love of your country but for the love of one of your national and many of my Filipino friends and those decent honest respectful Filipino's that respect me as an equal as I do them. How dare you be so rude and arrogant. Do not look arrogantly down your nose at me because I am a foreigner as I deem that to be a racial slur. Also that does not take away the fact that I have the right to speak freely about bad governance and corrupt law systems.
I placed a suggestion and opinion and then you try to carry out a character assassination simply showing you have no common decency and do not respect the opinions of others.
Lets forget I am a foriegner that you seem to hate and do not respect as an equal in debate you have the common decency to attack the message and not the messenger as that's the methodology of trolls.
I am a citizen of the world and here on nowpublic we should respect each others opinion and not stoop so low to attack a fellow members character as that shows how weak our argiment is and could also indicate low inteligence, bad up bringing, arrogance and overwhelming biasness. Implying there is no justice in the Philippines is a slap in the face of every good Filipino. That's what rude. Sure there are some bad ones, as there are also in your country.
You live in the Philippines because it's more comfortable for you because you can stretch the pension you receive from your own country. Let's leave it at that.

Note: Over the many years I have lived in the Philippines I have noted many cases being taken against members of the legal system concerning corruption. I have seen know crooks get away with murder. Not many Filipino's trust the police and from personal experience I have noted that they are not that good at policing. The country is run by Political clans some are very crooked and corruption is a well known factor. But I must add I feel that most Filippino's are honest and very good people and they deserve better than the corrupt administration including the corrupt legal system and police.
My statement above questions the fact that All though I do not like these greedy corrupt cult leaders that use religion to make money. Could Bro Eli if innocent of rape distrust the legal system as his political enemies could bribe the judge. Good advice for those that belong to either of the religious cults that are giving argument in reference to Bro Eli. Both organizations are religious businesses and the leaders lead very good wealthy lives from the proceeds given by their followers.
1. If you believe in god or gods, cut out the middle men as they want your money and pray direct.
2. Buy your religions holy book and read it from cover to cover.
This good advise comes from the Koran:

90% said they had not read Bible 8% said they had read verses in the bible and 2% said they had read the bible from cover to cover. Yet all the subjects said they where Christians. Blind faith is wonderful?

While he copied the list of charges against Soriano from Jane Abao's blog, he withheld the pertinent information regarding the background and current religious affiliation of the accusers.

Cutting off a portion of the whole changes the context - especially that you sanitized the whole thing by removing the names of the excommunicated members of Ang Dating Daan who are now living it up with your Iglesia ni Cristo. Their names were an integral part of my story and the cases were malicious accusations of your people. The cases were placed there to show that there were no "sex crimes" - a case in point where again lying was used to bring Soriano's bio to Interpol to humiliate him.
