What is our future to be? (reflection)
True out history Politics has marked our Human existence, We tried out several systems that have all shown to be far from perfect, for a time one or the other system revelled it self to be beneficial and seemed to work for a time, this how ever only under special circumstances.
Once the circumstances changed and the system in place failed to change as well or evolve, friction arise and escalate until either the system manages to reform it self or is being replaced true revolutions or wars; few are the cases where the change happened peacefully and did not leave the Nation or society in total chaos for time.
One may wonder why we fail to be pro active and do not seem to be able to avoid those major crisis that at times put us back into the dark ages as a society. Monarchy, Dictatorship, Communism, Even Capitalism, those systems have all failed us in many ways, even so they seemed to be the solution at first to the problem faced at the time!
Part of the problem seems to be our political class that believes to be all mighty when in fact all they are is being administrators of the Public goods. That how ever they seem to forget more often than not. Dragging the People into irrational and illogical believes, such as race, religion, clans, or territory... all things that logic nor Science could ever defend nor justify.
We fail to see the obvious, such as the fact that the Earth is round and that we are all linked with one another. If we exploit a people or a territory sooner or later this will come to hunt us and we end up falling victim to our own greed, driving us from oppressor to become the target and be overrun sooner or later.
Part of the causes for this never ending circle seems to be the fact that we reason and plan in Years and decades at the most a generation, failing to be able to see the impact of our short term thinking in over the century or even less over a millennium. Father we think to small, we do what profits us personally or our family, our Clan at the most our Nation, not realizing that every action even the smallest has a global impact and will result in a long chain of events and counter actions that are way out of any one's control.
Only as a unified World we could counter problems and evolve to the benefit of all no matter where on Earth and not matter of what race, religion or nation we may originate from. to get there we do need to shut down our propaganda machines of hate and defamation and face our own shortcomings first, such as our exploitation of other nations...
Democracy is far from being perfect and yet it is still one of the best tolls we seem to have for justice, equality, liberty and not to forget duty. Duty should go hand in hand with right for the two are inseparable.
We claim to be democratic, how ever only as long as it is to our own advantage. We fail to reform the UNO to allow democratic power to all nations by allowing some to have a veto right. This double standards do not help nor does the undermining of the UNO by the five Veto nations as soon has it is not to their personal advantage.
We need to desarme every one especially the five Veto nations and reform our constitutions and laws, so they respect the rights and freedoms of all Human true out the Earth. We farther need to reform the UNO and make it the sole Military power able and allowed to intervene if needed and so agreed on by all Members.
Our Armed forces National or regional can only serve as self defence and only on their own territory with restricted force, limited to conventional weapons only.
Atomic, Bacteriological, or Chemical weapons can no longer be allowed nor tolerated for any Army or Nation any where.
Nevertheless we can only achieve any of this if the Western and G8 Nations lead the way at least the majority of them for starter!
Should we fail to reform our self in the G8 and G20 Nations we will face certain doom over the next century.

You're right. Money and power makes us blind, like Mugabe; for the first ten years he was an excellent leader and then he tasted gold and dragged his whole country into a horrific nightmare they cant seem to wake up from.

Yes, Mugabe would have entered History as an African Hero if he had stopped some 10 years ago! Why I think that no president should be allowed to be re-elected not even for a second term! To dangerous! Thank you for the comment!
