A matter of mutual trust

Israel has a policy of regulating sea transit into Gaza. This is to prevent the import of weapons as a measure to make Israel safe from hostile parties inside Gaza.

Turkey has decided it doesn’t respect Israel’s right to self-protection and favors support for Gaza. They could work a deal, ensuring Israel the right to inspect shipments and that may be a good compromise.

Turkey’s sending warships to accompany merchant ships increases hostility.

If I were Israel, I might sink the warships at some point.

“Turkish warships to accompany Gaza aid convoys Adrian Blomfield, Jerusalem

September 11, 2011

TURKEY has raised the prospect of a naval confrontation with Israel by announcing it will deploy warships to protect humanitarian convoys attempting to breach the maritime blockade of Gaza.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan defended the move as a necessary response after Israel refused to apologise for the deaths of nine Turks killed during an operation to intercept a Gaza-bound aid flotilla last year.

The threat is the most dangerous escalation yet in a rapidly deteriorating diplomatic row between the former allies that has already seen Turkey expel Israel's ambassador and suspend all military ties.

Can Turkey ensure Israel that the contents on board the merchant ships are free of all non humanitarian aid?

Can Israel accept such assurances from Turkey?

I admit my bias at this point. I know that the US capitalists are hell bent for oil and all, though I also know that we are reaching and have reached to invest in freedom as a part of payment. It is up to people in the region to get beyond religion and on with humanity.

I know that holding the Gaza people hostage to circumstances doesn't seem right. Yet, it is the fault of Arabs and Jews that the people are caught in between and easily exploited.

The USS Liberty

"The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a United States Navy technical research shipUSS Liberty, by Israeli Air Force jet fighter aircraft and Israeli Navy torpedo boats, on June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War.[2] The combined air and sea attack killed 34 crew members (naval officers, seamen, two Marines, and one civilian), wounded 170 crew members, and severely damaged the ship.[3] At the time, the ship was in international waters north of the Sinai Peninsula, about 25.5 nmi (29.3 mi; 47.2 km) northwest from the Egyptian city ofArish.[1][4]

In May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3,323,500 as full payment to the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3,566,457 in compensation to the men who had been wounded. On 18 December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million as settlement for the U.S. claim of $7,644,146 for material damage to the Liberty itself.[8]"

Both the Israeli and U.S. governments conducted inquiries and issued reports that concluded the attack was a mistake due to Israeli confusion about the identity of the USS Liberty.[5]Attack survivors contacted in 2007, by John M. Crewdson for a Chicago Tribune article about the attack, "to a man" rejected Israel's mistaken identity explanation. Also, the Tribune article said that most senior U.S. government officials, involved with the incident, did not believe that the attack was a mistake.[6] The attack remains "the only maritime incident in U.S. history where [U.S.] military forces were killed that was never investigated by the [U.S.] Congress."[7]"

Now Public is becoming a place for the lowest denominator. Liberty and 9-11 and world domination. Don't you folks have anything else to do with your lives.  Jew/Israel on the brain is an old outdated disease except of course for the Radical Islamic  folks.
