So far, it's been confirmed that the NTC has taken over Tripoli, and that celebrations are widespread thoughout the city in the pre-dawn hours. Three of Muammar Gaddafi's sons have been arrested.
The dictator's fate is unknown: varying reports have him dead, captured, or having fled Libya. After six months of civil war, Libya is facing an uncertain future as the 41-year rule of Muammar Gaddafi comes to an end.

The whole thing regarding Gaddafi is weird. None of the superpowers bother the guy for forty years (except for Reagan's little bombing run). Then all of a sudden he's a goner. Who's behind it? What do they hope to gain? (And don't tell me this is a spontaneous uprising. Somebody is coordinating the "rebels." Somebody will end up being "appointed" to take Gaddafi's place.) I guess it's just time for the US and Britain to replace the old dictators with new ones. The media puppets and talking heads don't question a thing, of course; they just read their scripts about democracy.
