When are the Election 2012 Presidential Debates? Schedule, Mods
Schedule and Moderators Announced for US Presidential Debates
President Barack Obama and Joe Biden will face Mitt Romney and newly-minted VP pick Paul Ryan in a series of four televised debates. We'll be covering each debate as it happens, but here is the newly-released schedule of Election 2012 Presidential debates.
- Domestic Policy Debate: 9pm ET/6pm PT Wednesday, October 3
University of Denver, Denver, CO
Moderated by Jim Lehrer, PBS NewsHour
- Vice Presidential Debate: 9pm ET/6pm PT Thursday, October 11
Centre College, Danville, KY
Moderated by Martha Raddatz, Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent, ABC News
- Town Hall: 9pm ET/6pm PT Tuesday, October 16
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY
Moderator: Candy Crowley, CNN
- Foreign Policy Debate: 9pm ET/6pm PT Monday, October 22
Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL
Moderator: Bob Schieffer, CBS Face the Nation
Fortunately the debates all take place within about three weeks of each other, since the Primary debate season seemed to go on forever. What's the over/under on the first mention of Communism or Nazi Germany? We think it'll come within the first ten minutes of the first debate.
Also, this is the first time we'll have a female Presidential debate moderator since 1992.
This is where you'll be able to find Election 2012 debate transcripts, once the debates actually take place.
