When Jaxport facts mislead the public
Jaxport port director Rick ferin says he felt presured by Carnival cruise lines to put a cruise terminal in Mayport, due to height restrictions posed by the Dames point Bridge after reseaching the claim by this author the bridge may pose height restrictions for some cruise vessels but not all of Carnivals 45 ships it owns pose this problem so why does Jaxport claim otherwise? Image, greed, pressure from the Board of directors? Money of course! Taxpayers get stuck with a twenty year note for 60 million dollars while Carnival rips off the U.S. Taxpayers, like father like son who pays no rent on waterfront property given to them for a basketball team called the miami heat.Flags of Convenance for ships that avoid U.S. Tax laws and U.S. Labor laws no wonder they call it a Carnival Ship should have been Criminal instead.. When Jaxport facts mislead the public it should held accountable for its acts especially when giving a convicted felon 60 million dollar s of your money. Carnival continues to exploit third world countries in its labor pratices that should be a crime in itself taking lessons of world war II should be a reminder of the abuses although in a different light.
