Now that Moammar Gaddafi is dead, many people are looking back on the Libyan strongman's crazy life. This was a man, after all, who had his own Amazonian guard.

Then there was the fact that he seemed to be obsessed with Condoleezza Rice.

One of the strangest figures in the dictator's life was Gaddafi's nurse Galyna Kolotnytska.

The busty Ukrainian nurse was said to be one of his closest confidantes.

A leaked US cable said of Galyna Kolotnytska: "Gaddafi relies heavily on his Ukrainian nurse, who has been described as a voluptuous blonde. Libyan staff emphasised to multiple embassy officials that Gaddafi cannot travel without her, as she alone knows his routine."

Where is Galyna Kolotnytska?

Kolotnytska reportedly fled Libya during the 2011 Libyan uprising. In May 2011, she was denied political asylum in Norway.

Galyna Kolotnytska has in has not commented publicly on the death of Moammar Gaddafi, although some of his other Ukrainian nurses have expressed sadness at his passing.
