Where have all the "support the troop" ribbons gone?

Something I have noticed, why are there so much fewer "support the troops" ribbons on cars? When George Bush was president, they were everywhere. Where have they gone? Did those conservative critics of Obama's handling of the military conflict in Libya, not care about the combat pilots flying missions over Libya? Don't they care about the troops still in Iraq and Afghanistan? How many of them took those ribbons off their trucks (or very often trucks) when Obama became president?

Troops by the way are a means to a policy. Saying "support the troops" makes as much sense as saying "support DEA" agents, when trying to get someone to support a war on drugs. People who support a war should just cut to the chase and ask people to support the war. It would be more honest.

Also, where have the blanket statements of "don't undermine the president in a time of war" gone? Conservative radio host Sean Hannity stated this everyday when Bush was president. Why isn't he saying it now? Wait, is he criticizing Obama on Obama's handling of Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan?

You betcha, which is his right, of course. But to conservative critics, only they have the right to dissent and criticize a president when it comes to foreign policy. When the left does, they obviously, as the ultra-rightwing loves to say, "hate America."

If someone wants to disagree with a president or a military mission, I have no problem with. We aren't beholden to support whatever the government tells us we must do.
